The farm is the central part of the Tedsmore Estate and forms the core business. Over the years, agriculture has created the English countryside in which we live and Tedsmore is no exception. The parkland creates a wonderful setting for the Red Deer, Pedigree Hereford herds and sheep flock. Grazing on the parkland around the Hall, the meat from the various livestock obtains its wonderful flavours partly due to the stress free environments in which our stock live. Handled as little as possible (especially the deer), the Tedsmore Estate Farm operates on a truly traditional extensive system. Combined with long hanging times for meat, we hope that you will enjoy the great taste of Great British food! |

VENISON |

Red Deer bred from a line of the world famous Woburn Park Deer, our herd live amongst the trees of the Tedsmore lower park. For those of you that are local, the deer can be seen from the roads from West Felton and Grimpo. With our own stag, hinds are served during the rut in October, with calves being taken for meat at anything from 16 months old. Calves are born in May through June. We do not handle the deer at all , ensuring that they have a stress-free life here at Tedsmore NEWS - WE ARE RUNNING OUT FAST, OUR LAST VENISON WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE JANUARY FARMER'S MARKET - AFTER THAT, WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY FRESH UNTIL SEPTEMBER '09 |

| BEEF |

Herefords - a good English breed. Grown for beef, these wonderfully well-tempered pedigree cattle, have been chosen for the Tedsmore Farm because of their renowned ability to flourish in the outdoors. We do not have extensive buildings at Tedsmore and combined with a desire to raise the beef as traditionally as possible, the Hereford was a natural choice. Our herd is a spring calving herd in order that calves are born into good weather, and calves are taken for meat from about 18 months of age. |

| LAMB |

Our young Ewe flock grazes outside on the Tedsmore parkland throughout the year. The lamb is all outdoor reared only coming to the yard for treatment and routine examinations. Fed all year on grass with minimal supplements, the Tedsmore Estate Lamb, like all our products, provides the consumer with complete piece of mind when it comes to traceability and animal welfare.
